18.500 Springsteen Fans kamen aus allen Teilen der Welt zusammen, um mit dem ‚Boss‘ das letzte Konzert der „Working on a Dream“ Tour zu feiern. Die Band spielte zum ersten Mal überhaupt ihr 1973er Studioalbum „Greetings from Asbury Park“ live vor Publikum:

„Tonight for the one and only time we’re playing Greetings from Asbury Park. This was the miracle. We were way below zero to one. It was our big moment, big time. There was a guy at CBS Recods, John Hammond, who invited me to play for him. My pal did some incredible talking to get me in to play some songs. I played some of the song acoustically. I’m dedicating this to Mike Appel. The man who got me in those doors.“ – Bruce Springsteen

Ausserdem gaben die Musiker „Restless Nights“, „Merry Christmas Baby“ und „I Don’t Wanna Hang up my Rock’n Roll Shoes“ zum Besten. Als Stargast kam Willie Nile auf die Bühne.
Bruce Springsteen verabschiedete sich mit folgenden Worten:

„We appreciate you coming out to see the E Street Band. So we’re gonna say goodbye, but just for a little while, a very little while…“ – Bruce Springsteen
