Bruce Springsteen wird mit der E Street Band nicht nur am 14. August, sondern auch am 15. August 2012 im “Fenway Park”, Boston, MA spielen. Der Vorverkauf startet am 2. Juni 2012.

Bruce and the E Street Band just kicked off their 11-week European tour with shows in Seville, Las Palmas and Barcelona. This comes on the heels of the tour’s first U.S. leg, which earned accolades for their stellar performances: Rolling Stone called the show “epic,” the New York Times said “explosive” and the Boston Globe wrote of the concert’s “energy that bordered on superhuman.”

Die spanische Presse fragt sich am Freitag Morgen, wie Bruce Springsteen das erste Konzert im “Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys” toppen will. Bruce Springsteen hat das Setlist der zweiten Show gehörig durcheinander gewirbelt und die Zuschauer mit 11 neuen Songs verwöhnt. Unter anderem mit “Night,” “The Ties That Bind”, “Two Hearts”, “Spirit In the Night”, “E Street Shuffle”, “Trapped”, “Downbound Train”, “Because The Night”, “Working on the Highway”, “Racing in the Street” und  “Ramrod”.
Übrigens kehrt der “Boss” im Juni nach Spanien zurück. Am 17.06.2012 ist ein Konzert im 80.000 Zuschauer fassenden Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid geplant.

55.000 Zuschauer erlebten eine sensationelle Show mit vielen Überraschungen. Bruce Springsteen brachte mit “You Can Look (But You Better Not Touch)” und “Hungry Heart” zwei Tourpremieren. Darüber hinaus spielte Springsteen “Prove it All Night” mit dem 1978er Piano/Gitarren Intro. Heute Abend (18. Mai 2012) folgt das zweite Konzert im “Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys”, Barcelona.

Donna Summer ist tot.
Die aus Boston, MA stammende Sängerin ist am 17. Mai 2012 in Englewood, FL an Lungenkrebs gestorben.
Die Karriere der Künstlerin begann in den frühen 1970er Jahren. Mit dem Song “Love to Love You Baby” (1975) – der in München von Giorgio Moroder produziert wurde – gelang ihr ein Welthit.

1982 veröffentlichte Donna Summer die Bruce Springsteen Komposition “Protection”. Der Song wurde im März 1982 mit Bruce Springsteen (Gitarre) und Roy Bittan (Piano) in Los Angeles, CA eingespielt. “Protection” wurde ausserdem im Juli 1982 auf Donna Summers zehnten Studioalbum “Donna Summer” released.

Bruce Springsteen sagte 1998: “Cover Me was originally written for Donna Summer. She could really sing and I disliked the veiled racism of the anti-disco movement. When I cut the demo, it came out so good that I held on to it. I later wrote another song, “Protection”, and recorded it with Donna and Quincy Jones in L.A.”

Nach der Hitzeschlacht von Sevilla (wir berichteten hier), stand gestern das zweite Konzert in Spanien auf dem Programm.
Im 35.000 Zuschauer fassenden Fussballstadion von Las Palmas bot Bruce Springsteen ein sagenhaftes Konzert. Während der dreistündigen Show gab Bruce Springsteen mit seiner E Street Band vier Tourpremieren (Two Hearts, Working on the Highway, The River und Born in the USA) zum Besten. Leider wurde “Rocky Ground” zum ersten Mal nicht gespielt.

Das “PinkPop Festival” findet einmal jährlich seit 1970 statt. Damit ist es das älteste, kontinuierlich veranstaltete Rockfestival auf europäischem Boden. Das erste “Hard Rock Calling Open Air” fand am ersten Juliwochenende 2006 im Londoner Hyde Park statt. Die Hauptacts waren Roger Waters, Texas, Starsailor, The Who, Razorlight, The Lightning Seeds und Primal Scream.
Bruce Springsteen war bereits 2009 zu Gast und wurde auch für das HRC 2012 (14. Juli 2012) gebucht. Ausserdem wurden John Fogerty und Tom Morello als Bruce Springsteen Support Acts bestätigt.
