Die „Wrecking Ball World Tour 2012 / 2013“ endet am 21. September 2013 mit einem Festivalauftritt. Bruce Springsteen wird mit der E Street Band einer der Headliner der „Rock in Rio“ Konzertserie in Rio de Janeiro sein.

Am 12. September 2013 ist eine Show in der „Moviestar Arena“ in Santiago de Chile geplant (wir berichteten hier). Zwei Tage später macht der Tourtross im „Estadio G.E.B.A.“ in Buenos Aires (Argentinien) Station. Ferner wird Bruce Springsteen am 18. September auch im „Espaco das Americas“ in Sao Paulo (Brasilien) zu sehen sein (wir berichteten hier).

Die offizielle Pressemeldung vom 7. August 2013:

Bruce and the E Street Band have added new South American shows to their 2012-2013 ‘Wrecking Ball’ World tour including a recently announced show in Buenos Aires on September 14. The shows precede the previously announced, final ‘Wrecking Ball’ performance at Rock in Rio concert in Rio de Janeiro on Sept. 21 and are the final additions to the tour.

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ World Tour has reached fans in more countries than any Springsteen tour and by its end will have included 133 shows in 26 countries for a total of 3.5 million tickets. Commencing in March 2012 at the Apollo Theater in New York, the tour crossed North America, South America, Europe, and Australia with shows being described as “the stuff of legend” (Irish Independent) and “some of Springsteen’s best shows ever” (Rolling Stone).

The final 2013 ‘Wrecking Ball’ Dates:

• Sept. 12 – Santiago, Chile – Movistar Arena
• Sept. 14 – Buenos Aires, Argentina – Estadio G.E.B.A.
• Sept. 18 – Sao Paulo, Brazil – Espaco das Americas
• Sept. 21 – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – Rock in Rio
