Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band: Isle of Wight Festival in 3D

Das „Isle of Wight Festival 2012“ vom 22. bis zum 24. Juni 2012 wird teilweise in 3D im englischen Fernsehen gezeigt. Der Medienkonzern SKY ARTS hat sich die Rechte gesichert und wird täglich bis zu 6 Stunden Live vom Festivalgelände berichten.
Unter anderem werden die Konzerte von Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Pearl Jam, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds und natürlich auch Bruce Springsteen in 3D ausgestrahlt.

Isle of Wight Festival to be broadcast in 3D
The Isle of Wight Festival is set to receive the three dimensional treatment this year after Sky Arts announced that it would broadcast the event in 3D.
It means you’ll be able to see the likes of Pearl Jam and Bruce Springsteen up close and personal, who are set to headline the festival in June.
The TV channel will also show six hours worth of coverage from the festival a day. Sky Arts channel director James Hunt said in a statement:
„The Isle Of Wight Festival is the most dynamic and exciting festival in the UK: we knew that with this year’s lineup, Sky Arts coverage had to be bigger, better and bolder than ever before. Broadcasting the festival live for six hours a day not only confirms Sky Arts as the destination for great music coverage, with 3D it also brings viewers closer to the real-life festival experience.“ – Quelle
