Der im Jahre 1960 im englischen Manchester geborene Schriftsteller Clinton Heylin gilt als grosser Bob Dylan Kenner. Unter anderem veröffentlichte Heylin die Standardwerke „Dylan: Behind the Shades“ (1991) sowie „Dylan: Behind the Shades – Take Two“ (2000). Darüber hinaus begeistert der 53jährige mit den Büchern „From the Velvets To The Voidoids – The Birth of American Punk“ (2005) und „Bootleg – The Rise & Fall of the Secret Recording Industry“ (2004).

Seit Januar 2013 ist Clintons Heylins neuestes Werk auf dem Markt.
