Text „Children’s Song“:

Diamond saddle, ruby eye
Someone’s got a rocking horse that they ride
Ride the tangled river down to the sea
Ride that river and then come on home to me
‚Cause, oh my little ones, you gotta learn to walk before you run
First step’s hard, the rest will come
You’ve got time, time, time
Time, time, time

There’s gold in the river, silver in the hills
Some cups will empty, some cups will fill
Sometimes you’ll be standing tall and free
Sometimes you’ll be praying down on your knees

But, oh my little ones, you gotta learn to walk before you run
First step’s hard, the rest will come
You’ve got time, time, time
Time, time, time

Birds are singing, the clock strikes noon
You sit and dream ’neath the skin of the moon
You wish upon some distant star
‚Till you find out who you are

One of these mornings, a day will come
All your riding will be done
All the horses that once rode to your command
They’ll speak a language you no longer understand

But, oh my little ones, you gotta learn to walk before you run
First step’s hard, the rest will come
You’ve got time, time, time
Time, time, time
You’ve got time, time, time
Time, time, time

You’ve got time, time, time
Time, time, time
You’ve got time, time, time
Time, time, time
Time, time, time
Time, time, time
You’ve got time, time, time
Time, time, time

Das Rolling Stone Magazine schreibt:

When Patti Scialfa was asked to contribute a song to Every Mother Counts (Starcon), a compilation CD that will raise money to help improve child and maternal health in developing countries, she was stumped. Luckily her husband, Bruce Springsteen, had an idea.“He reminded me of this song I wrote when our kids were really little,“ Scialfa recalls. „I was a little ambivalent about it — I felt that, vocally, it wasn’t in my wheelhouse — so I always just put it off.“

März meldete Chamberlain: „When the Boss calls you got to go!“.
Zwei Tage später war folgendes zu lesen: „Today I’m heading out to NJ to record with that guy from there, so excited.“.

Darüber hinaus steht Chamberlain beim Produzenten Ron Aniello unter Vertrag, der als Co-Producer beim jüngsten Patti Scialfa Album „Play It As It Lays“ in Erscheinung trat.

Newsinenglish.no berichtet:

‘Little Steven’ lands big role in Norway
Steven Van Zandt, who moved on from Bruce Springsteen’s band to play a gangster on “The Sopranos” TV series, looks set for a new run of sorts. He’s been cast as a gangster again, this time in a new series being made for Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK)  … weiterlesen

Ausserdem hat Little Steven seinen „Boss“ Bruce Springsteen im Radiostudio getroffen. Das Interview wird im Rahmen der „Little Steven’s Underground Garage“ Radioshow am 1. April ausgestrahlt.

„New York Times“ berichtet:

The conversations, in which Mr. Springsteen and Mr. Van Zandt talk about their musical influences and whatever else comes to mind, were recorded earlier this month at Mr. Van Zandt’s office studio in Greenwich Village….
Mr. Van Zandt said he tried to do as little preparation for Mr. Springsteen’s appearance as possible. „By the time we have that lengthy conversation about the show, that’s another show,“ he said. „Let’s start with absolute, total spontaneity and just talk. We’ll just have a conversation, and then we’ll fill in the music later.“  … weiterlesen
