Rock & Roll Hall of Fame: Little Steven & The Hollies
Die schwedische Popband ABBA, The Hollies, Genesis, Jimmy Cliff, The Stooges und David Geffen sind am Montag Abend offiziell in die „Rock and Roll Hall of Fame“ aufgenommen worden. Die Aufnahmezeremonie fand traditionell im New Yorker „Waldorf Astoria Hotel“ statt.
Die Laudatio auf „The Hollies“ hielt E Street Band Gitarrist Little Steven Van Zandt. Er würdigte unter anderem die „englischen Harmonien“ der Sänger Allan Clarke und Graham Nash, die „vielleicht nur von den Beatles übertroffen wurden“.
