Gestern Abend wurden die Schauspieler Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito, Susan Sarandon, die Musiker Frankie Valli, Count Basie, Les Paul, der Sportler Carl Lewis sowie der ehemalige US-Präsident Woodrow Wilson offiziell in die „New Jersey Hall of Fame“ aufgenommen. Bruce Springsteen war ebenfalls anwesend und hielt die Laudatio für den im Jahre 1944 in Asbury Park, NJ geborenen Danny DeVito.

Am Samstag (24. April 2010) wurden Little Steven und Ehefrau Maureen Van Zandt mit dem „Kristen Ann Carr Award“ ausgezeichnet. Als Gäste hatten sich die „Rascals“ angekündigt. Eine Pop-Band, die in den 60er und 70er Jahren einige Hits hatten. Ferner nahm auch Bruce Springsteen an der Veranstaltung teil.
Als Höhepunkt des Abends performten die Rascals einige ihrer Hits. Bruce Springsteen und Little Steven unterstützten die Popikonen beim Song „Good Lovin'“.
Der „Kristen Ann Carr Fond“ vergibt Stipendien für die Krebserforschung und versucht, das Leben von jungen Krebspatienten zu verbessern.

The Fund was founded in 1993 by Bruce Springsteen’s co-manager Barbara Carr and her husband, prominent rock journalist Dave Marsh, after the disease claimed the life of their daughter, 21-year-old Kristen Ann Carr.
Honoring the life of this extraordinary young woman, The Fund has established a comprehensive sarcoma laboratory at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, provides sarcoma fellowships in both surgery and oncology at MSKCC and supports programs designed to help teenagers and young adults with cancer and other serious illnesses.
Previous attendees of „A Night to Remember“ include Bruce Springsteen, Patti Scialfa, members of the E Street Band, Harvey Keitel, Elvis Costello, Diana Krall and the cast of the Sopranos, amongst many others.
