Das Bruce Springsteen Management hat am 24. Januar 2012 die Tourdaten für Nordamerika bekannt gegeben. Der Kartenvorverkauf startete am Samstag, den 28. Januar 2012. Tickets können über Live Nation und/oder Ticketmaster bezogen werden.

Am 3. Februar 2012 wurde ein zweites Konzert in Los Angeles, CA (27. April 2012) angekündigt.

Little Steven van Zandt bestätigte in einem Gespräch mit einem „New York Post“ Journalisten, dass die E Street Band sehr hart proben müsse. „Wir haben in der Regel nur für ein oder zwei Wochen Zeit, um neue Songs einzustudieren“ sagte Van Zandt am Rande der „Lilyhammer Premiere“ im New Yorker „Crosby Street Hotel“ (wir berichteten hier).
Ausserdem fügte der Musiker und Radio DJ an, dass die Songs des Wrecking Ball Albums sehr interessant und schwierig sind, weil viele neue Einflüsse wie Loops, elektronische Percussions und Rhythmen aus dem Hip Hop und Irish Folk Genre einflossen“.

Unbestätigten Gerüchten zufolge sollen sich die Mitglieder der E Street Band morgen in Asbury Park, NJ treffen, um mit den Rehearshals zu beginnen. Bereits am Samstag – den 12. Februar 2012 – werden die Musiker auf der Bühne stehen und Live bei der „Grammy Verleihung“ (wir berichteten hier) in Los Angeles, CA performen.

Steven Van Zandt says Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are having to do more rehearsing than normal for their upcoming world tour because of the band’s unusual new album. “We usually only rehearse for a week or two,” Van Zandt told us at a premiere of his Netflix series, “Lilyhammer,” Wednesday. “But the music is . . . interesting, and more difficult. And we have other things to figure out because of [the absence of the late] Clarence [Clemons].” Advanced reports on the album, “Wrecking Ball,” say it’s rife with “new textures,” “loops, electronic percussion” and “rhythms from hip-hop to Irish folk.“

Bruce Springsteen Added To GRAMMY Performance Lineup
Twenty-time GRAMMY winner Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have been added to the stellar lineup for the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Actor/recording artist Jack Black, six-time GRAMMY winner and current three-time nominee Fergie, three-time GRAMMY winner and current nominee Amir „?uestlove“ Thompson of the Roots, and nine-time GRAMMY winner Ringo Starr will appear as presenters. Additional performers, presenters and special segments will be announced soon.
Previously announced performers for the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards include Adele (in her first live performance since undergoing vocal cord surgery last fall); Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson; Glen Campbell with the Band Perry and Blake Shelton; Coldplay and Rihanna; Foo Fighters; Bruno Mars; Paul McCartney; Nicki Minaj; Katy Perry; and Taylor Swift. Aldean, the Band Perry, Minaj, and Shelton will perform on the GRAMMY telecast for the first time.
Previously announced presenters are Dierks Bentley, Drake, Miranda Lambert, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
LL Cool J, who has hosted „The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night“ since its inception in December 2008, will be hosting the annual GRAMMY Awards telecast for the first time.
The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards are produced by John Cossette Productions and AEG Ehrlich Ventures for The Recording Academy. Ken Ehrlich is executive producer, Louis J. Horvitz is director, and David Wild and Ken Ehrlich are the writers.
The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards will take place live on Sunday, Feb. 12 at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in high definition and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network from 8–11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

Bruce Springsteen wird mit seiner E Street Band am 9. März 2011 eine „Warm-Up-Show“ im New Yorker Apollo Theatre spielen. Das Konzert beginnt um 20.00 Uhr und wird Live im Radio (SiriusXM) übertragen.

Little Steven van Zandt promotet derzeit die neue Mafiaserie „Lilyhammer“ (wir berichteten hier). Neben einem Auftritt in der „Howard Stern Show“ (siehe hier), führte er ausserdem ein Interview mit der Huffington Post. Natürlich kam der E Street Band Gitarrist auch auf Bruce Springsteens neues Album „Wrecking Ball“ zu sprechen. Van Zandt sagte, dass er das Album liebt und auch alle Fans begeistert sein werden.

Bruce’s new album, „Wrecking Ball,“ is coming out soon; I know it’s more of a solo effort than a E Street Band production, but have you heard it? What can you tell me about it?

I’m going to let him talk about it but, basically, I will tell you this: I love the album. I just absolutely love it, I think you’re going to love it and I think everybody else is too. The fact that a guy at his level of success, at his age, is still making records this vital and this relevant and this good, makes me just doubly proud to be his friend. I would love him anyway as a friend if he wasn’t doing anything, but it really make me particularly proud to know him, that he would be this engaged, doing something this wonderful at this stage in the game.

Bruce Springsteens siebzehntes Studioalbum “Wrecking Ball” wird am 2. März in Deutschland erscheinen. Das Werk kann auf Amazon.de bzw. im Stonepony Fanshop vorbestellt werden. In Deutschland wird es das Standard-Album (ohne Bonus Tracks), eine Special Edition (mit Bonus Tracks) sowie eine Doppel-Vinyl-LP geben.
