24. Juni 1993 – “Concert To Fight Hunger”, Brendan Byrne Arena, East Rutherford, NJ

Roy Bittan (Keyboard), Shane Fontane (Gitarre), Tommy Sims (Bass), Zachary Alford (Drums), Bobby King (Background Vocals), Crystal Talifero (Background Vocals), Carol Dennis (Background Vocals), Angel Rogers (Background Vocals), Cleo Kennedy (Background Vocals), Gia Giambotti (Background Vocals)

Bruce Springsteen sagte bei „My Hometown“ folgendes:

The Community Foodbank of New Jersey, the Food and Hunger Hotline and World Hunger Year, these are all Organizations that are out there to help resolve the growing problem of hunger that we still have here in the States. We started back in 1985 on the Born in the USA Tour, I met a lot of these folks and we did work for some of these organizations and rather than getting better, folks are telling me that it’s just getting worse, more people need help and assistance, these are organizations that feed people and help them find work, help them piece their lives together and they need money and they need volunteers!
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all you folks that voluntereed the last time we were around doing this, I know there’s a lot of you people that’ve been out there and that’ve worked very steadily every week, they told me, since, since we came here in ’85 and started talking about it. All I wanna say is that’s why we’re here tonight, help ‚em out if you got some time, if you got some free cash … / Bruce Springsteen

Die Show begann kurz nach 20 Uhr Ortszeit.
Bruce Springsteen läutete das Benefizkonzert mit dem Woody Guthrie Klassiker „I Ain’t Got No Home“ an der Seite seines Künstlerkollegens und Freundes Joe Ely ein.

Im weiteren Verlauf der dreieinhalbstündigen Show holte Bruce Springsteen weitere Gäste wie Southside Johnny, Patti Scialfa, Steven Van Zandt, Soozie Tyrell, Max Weinberg sowie die Bläser der Miami Horns auf die Bühne. Auch Clarence Clemons wurde von Bruce Springsteen herzlich begrüsst und durfte sein Saxophon bei „10th Avenue Freeze Out“ und „Born to Run“ blasen.

Peter Ames Carlin schreibt in seinem Buch „Bruce“ folgendes:

Darüber hinaus performte Bruce Springsteen den Creedence Clearwater Revival Hit „Who’ll Stop The Rain“, den Woody Guthrie Klassiker „Blowin‘ Down This Road“, Sam Cookes „Having A Party“, Tom Waits „Jersey Girl“, The Impressions „It’s All Right“ sowie den aus Edgar L. Edens Feder stammenden Gospelsong „Satan’s Jeweled Crown“.
