Am 15. Oktober 2024 nahm Bruce Springsteen an einer privaten Vorführung seines neuen Dokumentarfilms „Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band“ im „Museum of Modern Art“ in New York City, NY teil. Darüber hinaus stellte er sich mit Regisseur Thom Zimny, Produzent und Manager Jon Landau und E Street Band Gitarrist Steven Van Zandt einer Frage-und-Antwort-Runde, die von John Sykes geleitet wurde.

Am 18. Oktober 2024 wird Bruce Springsteen ausserdem in der BBC Talksendung „The Graham Norton Show“ zu Gast sein. Die Sendung wurde bereits am 17. Oktober 2024 aufgezeichnet und Bruce Springsteen traf im „BBC Studio 1“ in London unter anderem auf die amerikanischen Schauspielerinnen Amy Adams und Vanessa Williams sowie den britischen Komiker Bill Bailey.

„Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band“ ist eine von HULU und Disney+ produzierte 100minütige Dokumentation, die am 25. Oktober 2025 auf der Streamingplattform Disney+ zu sehen sein wird.

Gestern – am 24. April 2024 – fand im „Pollak Theatre“ auf dem Campus der „Monmouth University“ in Long Branch, NJ die „American Music Honors“ statt.

Wie schon im letzten Jahr, war auch Bruce Springsteen mit von der Partie und ehrte den 72jährigen Musiker John Mellencamp. Neben John Mellencamp wurden ausserdem Jackson Browne, Marvis Staples und Dion DiMucci ausgezeichnet.

Bruce Springsteen stand auch auf der Bühne und gab folgende Songs zum Besten:

The 2024 honorees are: John Mellencamp, who together with Willie Nelson and Neil Young, created Farm Aid in 1985. The social activism reflected in Mellencamp’s songs helped catalyze Farm Aid, the organization that has addressed the struggle of American family farmers that continues to this day; Jackson Browne, a long-time social justice, environmental and educational activist who has supported everything from anti-nuclear alternative energy resources to political freedom in Central America; Mavis Staples, who in the 1960’s was on the frontlines of the civil rights movement and continues to use her music to support racial equality in America; Dion DiMucci, who’s landmark recording of “Abraham, Martin and John” became an activist anthem in the late 1960’s and beyond.

Das „Tribeca Film Festival“ wurde im Jahr 2002 von Robert De Niro und der Produzentin Jane Rosenthal in New York City ins Leben gerufen. Unter anderem werden alljährlich neue Spielfilme, Dokumentationen sowie Kurzfilme vorgestellt und Filmbeiträge, Schauspieler und Regisseure ausgezeichnet.

In diesem Jahr findet das „Tribeca Festival“ vom 5. Juni 2024 bis zum 16. Juni 2024 in ausgewählten Locations in New York City statt. Die Highlights in diesem Jahr sind die Dokumentation „Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge“ (Regie: Trish Dalton) sowie die Dramen „Jazzy“ (Regie: Morrisa Maltz) und „Daddio“ (Regie: Christy Hall).

Ausserdem wird die Dokumentation „Stevie Van Zandt: Disciple“ (Regie: Bill Teck) ihre Premiere feiern. Die 147minütige Dokumentation wurde von HBO produziert und beleuchtet Steven Van Zandts Karriere als Musiker, Schauspieler und politischer Aktivist.

Zu Wort kommen unter anderem Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Bono (U2), Maureen Van Zandt (Stevens Ehefrau) sowie die Musikerin Darlene Love.

Seit vergangenem Freitag ist in Bruce Springsteens Live-Archiv ein neues Konzert verfügbar! Nugs.net präsentiert exklusiv eine Show der „Born to Run Tour“ im „C.W. Post College“ in Greenvale, NY vom 12. Dezember 1975.

Die „Born to Run Tour“ startete am 20. Juli 1975 im „Palace Concert Theater“ in Providence, RI. An diesem Tag trat übrigens Little Steven van Zandt zum ersten Mal offiziell als Mitglied der E Street Band in Erscheinung. Die Band harmonierte prächtig und feierte die Weltpremiere von „10th Avenue Freeze-Out“.

Die „Born to Run Tour“ ging am 31. Dezember 1975 nach 76 Auftritten im „Tower Theater“ in Upper Darby Township, DE zu Ende. Weil Bruce Springsteen mit seinem Manager Mike Appel im Clinch lag und es ihm nicht möglich war, neues Material aufzunehmen, wurde die Tour kurzerhand verlängert. Die „Chicken Scratch Tour“ und die „Lawsuite Tour“ umfasste weitere 89 Termine in den Vereinigten Staaten und Kanada.

Im Rahmen der Tour stand am 12. Dezember 1975 ein Gig auf dem Campus des „CW Post College“ in Greenvale im Bundesstaat New York auf dem Plan. Bruce Springsteen performte mit der E Street Band 18 Songs und spielte erstmals den The Animals Klassiker „It’s My Life“ vor Publikum.
