Bruce Springsteen veröffentlicht „The Live Series: Songs of New Jersey

Bruce Springsteen hat eine neue Live-Songsammlung unter dem Titel „The Live Series: Songs of New Jersey“ veröffentlicht. Der Release umfasst 20 Konzertaufnahmen aus den Jahren 1978 bis 2016. Die auf dem Album enthaltenen Songs beziehen sich auf New Jersey und wurden hauptsächlich in Bruce Springsteens Heimatstaat sowie New York City aufgenommen.

Unter anderem ist auch der Song „My Hometown“ (erstveröffentlicht auf „Born in the USA“ im Jahre 1984) enthalten. Die Aufnahme stammt vom 8. November 1996, als Bruce Springsteen im Rahmen der „The Ghost of Tom Joad Tour“ seiner ehemaligen Schule in Freehold, NJ einen Besuch abstattete. Bei diesem 30 Dollar Auftritt, der ausschliesslich den Bewohnern von Freehold vorbehalten war, wurden Spendengelder für das hispanische Gemeindezentrum St. Rose of Lima gesammelt.
