Eric Churchs neues Album mit dem Song „Springsteen“
Der aus Granite Falls in North Carolina stammende Countrysänger Eric Church veröffentlicht am 26. Juli 2011 sein drittes Studioalbum „Chief“ (EMI Nashville). Auf dem Album findet man unter anderem einen Song mit dem Titel „Springsteen“.

The next may seem like an ode to the Boss, but it’s actually a love song. „I have such a reverence for Bruce Springsteen’s career and how he’s built it,“ Eric says. „The interesting part is it’s a love affair that takes place in an amphitheater between two people. It didn’t happen with Springsteen, ironically, it happened with another artist. Ausserdem sagte Eric Church in einem Interview:
„I compare it a lot to what [Bruce] Springsteen did on the Jersey shore, you know? I mean he just kept building, kept building, kept playing… the crowds kept growing and all of a sudden people are looking at the cover of Time magazine going, ‚Who is this Springsteen guy and why is he playing the Garden three nights in a row?‘ And I like it, but we’ve been a little off the radar… unless you were at the shows, unless you were in the cities, you know, and that’s been driving ours for a long time.“
