6. Mai 2010: „Word and Music Fest“ mit Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen wird am 6. Mai am „WAMfest“ teilnehmen. Dabei handelt es sich um ein Studentenfest der „Fairleigh Dickinson University“ in Madison, NJ.

6 Thu.; 2010 Words and Music Festival (WAMFEST),  “Words for Music, Perhaps II: A Discussion and Performance,” Robert Pinsky, former poet laureate consultant in poetry to Library of Congress; Bruce Springsteen, singer and songwriter; and Wesley Stace  (aka John Wesley Harding), songwriter, performer, novelist and WAMFEST artist-in-residence, co-sponsored by creative writing, literature/language/writing/philosophy and Maxwell Becton College of Arts and Sciences; Dreyfuss Theater, Dreyfuss Building, 4 p.m., free, limited seating, for information e-mail ddaniel@fdu.edu, for FDU students only.

Only students will be allowed to attend, but Bruce Springsteen will make a May 6 appearance at the Dreyfuss Theatre at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, as part of the school’s Wamfest (Words And Music Festival).
The event is titled “Jersey Rain: Robert Pinsky and Bruce Springsteen, in Conversation and Performance with John Wesley Harding.” Pinsky, a poet and essayist, is a Long Branch native who has served as United States poet laureate. Harding is a singer-songwriter who has crossed paths with Springsteen, occasionally, and is serving as Wamfest’s artist-in-residence and curator.
