In Amerika hat am „Black Friday“ – dem Tag nach dem Thanksgiving Fest – die Weihnachtszeit offiziell begonnen. Viele Geschäfte locken mit Angeboten und die unabhängigen Plattengeschäfte haben den „Record Store Day“ ausgerufen.
Einige namhafte Künstler haben sich auch in diesem Jahr entschlossen, den Plattenläden ein gutes Vorweihnachtsgeschäft zu bescheren und exklusive Tracks auf Vinyl zu pressen. Bruce Springsteen verwöhnt seine Fans mit einer „Save My Love / Because the Night“ 7-Inch Vinyl Single.

Killing Joke:
Absolute Dissent – deluxe double-CD including disc of other bands covering Killing Joke tracks including Metallica, Foo Fighters and Fear Factory

The Gaslight Anthem:
Tumblin Dice – 7-inch unreleased Rolling Stones cover, available in four colours

Pantera:
Cowboys from Hell: the Demos – 180 gram vinyl LP

The Doors:
The Doors – 180g mono vinyl – only previously available in sold-out box set and exclusive to independent stores

Tom Petty And the Heartbreakers:
Nowhere / Surrender – 7-inch single of unreleased tracks

George Harrison:
All Things Must Pass – 180g three-album reissue, limited edition and numbered with artwork, poster and box packaging

Black Crowes:
Say Goodnight to The Bad Guys (electric live) / Remedy (acoustic live) – 10-inch vinyl picture disc recorded on farewell tour

Drive By Truckers:
The Thanksgiving Filter / Used to Be a Cop – 7-inch single from 2011 album

Bruce Springsteen:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year – 10-inch green vinyl

Amazon.de hat die Bruce Springsteen „Save My Love“ Single auch schon in den Warenbestand aufgenommen. Doch es ist noch nicht klar, wann die Scheibe bei uns zu haben sein wird.
