John Mellencamp und Bruce Springsteen – Wasted Days
Am 15. Mai 2021 – anlässlich von Clive Davis‘ virtueller Grammy Gala – gab John Mellencamp bekannt, dass er vor Kurzem ein brandneues Album fertiggestellt hat. Darüber hinaus kündigte der 69jährige an, dass Bruce Springsteen auf dem kommenden Studiowerk zu hören sein wird (wir berichteten hier).
John Mellencamp:
„Bruce is singing on the new record and is playing guitar. I finished the record a week ago today.“
Gestern – am 29. September 2021 – wurde das Duett „Wasted Days“ veröffentlicht.
Laut John Mellencamp wird „Wasted Days“ auf seinem 25. Studioalbum erscheinen. Die Veröffentlichung ist für 2022 geplant.
John Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen come together for the first time with the new single, “Wasted Days.” The duet is unveiled alongside an official music video directed and produced by filmmaker and frequent Springsteen collaborator Thom Zimny. Mellencamp and Springsteen filmed the video together in New Jersey this September. “Wasted Days” is the first single off of Mellencamp’s forthcoming album slated for release in 2022.
