Auch in diesem Jahr fand der „Stand Up for Heroes“ Spendenmarathon statt. Wegen der COVID-19 Pandemie war es den Veranstaltern jedoch nicht möglich, in das „HULU Theater At Madison Square Garden“ einzuladen. Stattdessen wurde die Gala virtuell veranstaltet und von ABC News, Facebook, Twitch, TikTok und AFN live übertragen.
Neben Bruce Springsteen und Ehefrau Patti Scialfa beteiligten sich an der Veranstaltung auch Jon Stewart, Nate Bargatze, Ronny Chieng, Mickey Guyton, Tiffany Haddish, Brad Paisley, Brian Regan, Iliza Shlesinger, Derrick Brown, Jeannie und Jim Gaffigan, Prinz Harry, Craig Newmark, Ray Romano, Bob und Lee Woodruff sowie Sheryl Crow.
Bruce Springsteen und Patti Scialfa meldeten sich per Videoschaltung aus Colts Neck, NJ und performten neben „Long Walk Home“ ausserdem „House of a Thousand Guitars“ und „I’ll See you in my Dreams“ aus dem aktuellen Studioalbum „Letter to You“.
Mit diesem Auftritt unterstützten Bruce Springsteen und Patti Scialfa die gemeinnützige Bob Woodruff Foundation, die es sich seit 2006 zur Aufgabe macht, verletzten Veteranen zu helfen.

Bruce Springsteen nahm gestern – am 4. November 2019 – an der diesjährigen „Stand Up For Heroes“ Benefizgala im “HULU Theater At Madison Square Garden” in New York City teil. Mit seinem Auftritt unterstützte er die gemeinnützige Bob Woodruff Foundation, die es sich seit 2006 zur Aufgabe macht, verletzten Veteranen zu helfen.
Bruce Springsteen kam als Stargast beim Auftritt der aus Missouri stammenden Rocksängerin Sheryl Crow auf die Bühne, um mit der 57jährigen Künstlerin den Song „Redemption Day“ zum Besten zu geben. Die Komposition ist auf Sheryl Crows neuem Studioalbum „Threads“ zu finden.
Im weiteren Verlauf des Abends performte Bruce Springsteen ausserdem die Songs „Bobby Jean“, „I’ll Work For Your Love“, „I’m On Fire“, „Dancing In The Dark“ sowie „Land Of Hope And Dreams“.

Bruce Springsteen wird sich auch in diesem Jahr an der „Stand Up For Heroes“ Benefizgala beteiligen.
Am 4. November 2019 wird Bruce Springsteen im „HULU Theater At Madison Square Garden“ in New York City auftreten, um Spendengelder für die gemeinnützige „Bob Woodruff Foundation“ zu sammeln.
Ausserdem haben die Comedians Ronny Chieng, Hasan Minhaj, John Oliver und der Talkmaster Jon Stewart ihr Kommen angekündigt.
Über die Bob Woodruff Foundation:
The vision of the Bob Woodruff Foundation is to provide resources and support to injured service members, veterans and their families — building a movement to empower communities nationwide to take action to successfully reintegrate our nation’s injured heroes—especially those who have sustained the Hidden Injuries of War—back into their communities so they may thrive physically, psychologically, socially and economically.
Our Mission is Threefold:
- We invest in national and community-based programs that connect our troops to the help they need — from individual needs like job training, career placement, counseling, physical accommodations, to larger social issues like substance abuse and homelessness.
- We educate the public about the needs of service members returning from war…and our nation’s greater need to ensure our heroes and families receive the support necessary to have successful futures.
- We collaborate with key federal, state, and local experts to identify and solve issues related to the successful return of service members from combat to civilian life.
- Together with our partners and supporters in communities across the country, we are healing the physical and hidden wounds of war.

Bruce Springsteen gab gemeinsam mit dem aus Granite Falls in North Carolina stammenden Country Superstar Eric Church den Song „Working On The Highway“ zum Besten. Darüber hinaus stimmte er auch „Dancing In The Dark“, „This Hard Land“ sowie mit Patti Scialfa „If I Should Fall Behind“ an.
