Laut einer NBC Meldung wird E-Street Band Drummer Max Weinberg auch weiterhin bei der „Conan O’Brien Show“ mitwirken. Showmaster Conan O’Brien wird ab dem 1. Juni 2009 die „Tonight Show“ in Los Angeles leiten.

Auf der „Rolling Stone Magazin“ Homepage wurde gestern ein interessanter Artikel veröffentlicht:

Bruce Springsteen wird mit seiner E Street Band am 27. Juni auf dem englischen „Glastonbury Music Festival“ spielen. Das alterwürdige Konzertspektakel wird seit 1970 auf einem Farmgelände im Südwesten Englands verstanstaltet.

Bruce Springsteen to Headline Glastonbury 2009

After months of rumour and speculation, Glastonbury Festival is pleased to announce that Bruce Springsteen will be the Saturday night headliner at this year’s festival.

Says Michael Eavis: “I’m so pleased that Bruce Springsteen has agreed to come to Worthy Farm for the first time. He’s one of the all-time rock legends and I’m confident that this will be one of our best shows ever. He’s also a Barack Obama supporter, which makes two headliners in a row who’ve backed the new President.”

Adds Emily Eavis: “I’m knocked out that we’ve managed to get Bruce to play. It’s the icing on the cake of this year’s bill, which I’m sure will take everyone’s breath away when we announce the full details.”

Tickets for this year’s festival have now sold out. A very limited number of cancelled tickets will go on sale at 9am on April 5th.

Während es um Bruce Springsteen ruhig ist, tritt Little Steven vermehrt in der Öffentlichkeit auf. Am 19. Februar gab er ein Interview und sprach über die anstehende „Working on a Dream“ Tour. Tags darauf trat in der norwegischen Fernsehsendung „“Senkveld“ auf.

E Street Band Gitarrist Steven van Zandt spricht in einem Interview mit Billboard über seine Plattenfirma „Wicked Cool Records“ und die anstehende „Working on a Dream“ Tour:

Little Steven tunes up for Springsteen tour
„This will take, I’m going to guess, five or six rehearsals, only because we have a new album,“ Van Zandt said of Springsteen’s trek with the E Street Band in support of his recent chart-topper „Working on a Dream.“ „We need to re-learn or re-arrange the new songs for the live versions. We’ll fool around with that stuff for maybe a week, and out we go. I have fun learning on the road! Every tour, you spend the first month or two relearning the songs as you play them. I’m still learning the chords for ‚Born To Run!'“

Am 10. Februar ’09 wurde das „Hard Rock Calling“ Konzert im Londoner Hyde Park offiziell bestätigt. Der englische Promoter Harvey Goldsmith kündigt am 12. Februar auf seiner Homepage an, dass möglicherweise weitere Termine in England folgen werden:

Bruce Springsteen-Hyde Park.

In einem Interview vom 17. Februar mit der englischen Tageszeitung „Guardian“ bestätigte Little Steven van Zandt, dass im Juni ein weiteres Konzert in Manchester stattfinden wird.

With his E Street Band hat, or rather bandana, on he played with Springsteen at this month’s Super Bowl and is soon to embark on a tour of the US and Europe that will take in Manchester and London in June.
