Taxi Driver – “You Talkin’ to me”
Clarence Clemons bestätigte in einem Interview, dass das weltbekannte Robert de Niro Zitat „You Talkin‘ to me“ aus dem Film „Taxi Driver“ nicht von De Niro, sondern von Bruce Springsteen stammt.
De Niro lernte gerade für den Film „New York, New York“ bei E Street Band Mitglied Clarence Clemons Saxophon zu spielen und besuchte ein Springsteen-Konzert. Das Publikum skandierte lautstark „Bruce“, woraufhin sich der „Boss“ auf der Bühne zu den Zuschauern wandte und frage, „You Talkin‘ to me“. De Niro übernahm den Satz und schrieb damit Filmgeschichte.
Clarence Clemons veröffentlicht am 12. Oktober sein erstes Buch mit dem Titel “Big Man – Real Life & Tall Tales”.
