Neues Video: „Death to My Hometown“

Digital Spy berichtet:

Bruce Springsteen has released a new music video for his track ‚Death To My Hometown‘.
The clip features Springsteen performing the politically-charged song live in concert in Atlanta with his E Street Band and Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello.
Springsteen rails against corporate greed in ‚Death To My Hometown‘, blaming the current struggles of the working class on growing political and business corruption.
‚Death To My Hometown‘ is the second music video released from his newest album Wrecking Ball following the release of ‚We Take Care of Our Own’s promotional clip in February.
Springsteen’s 17th studio album Wrecking Ball topped both the US and UK album charts in March and also fared well in Canada, France and New Zealand.

Die „Washington Times“ berichtet:

Springsteen gives music history lesson at SXSW
Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band closed out a powerful run at South By Southwest with a concert that was part political protest, part moving memorial and all rock `n’ roll.
Springsteen played a guest-packed socially conscious set, beginning and ending with tributes to Woody Guthrie, and heavy with songs from his new album, “Wrecking Ball,” a scathing look at America in the 21st century.
He noted how the economic crisis has “put people out of their homes, taken away their retirement and split this country down the middle,” before launching into the powerful new song “Jack of All Trades.”
