Am 2. März 2012 (6. März 2012 – USA) erscheint das neue Bruce Springsteen Album „Wrecking Ball“.
Schon vor Wochen wurden Termine für die Europa Tour 2012 veröffentlicht (wir berichteten hier). Aussserdem wurde bekannt, dass Bruce Springsteen am 15. März 2012 als Gastredner an der „South by Southwest Music and Media Conference“ in Austin, TX teilnehmen wird (siehe hier).
Weitere Konzerttermine wurden bisher nicht genannt.
Am 20. Januar 2012 meldete die „Chicago Sun Times“, dass Bruce Springsteen mit seiner E-Street Band am 8. September 2012 im Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL auftreten wird.

Bruce Springsteen announced details Thursday morning of his 17th studio album, „Wrecking Ball,“ to be released March 6. The album will feature 11 new songs (13 in a special edition) produced by Ron Aniello.
No extra tour dates were announced — Springsteen with the E Street Band has concerts scheduled in Europe through July — but a source within the Chicago Cubs told the Sun-Times late Wednesday that the Boss is tentatively scheduled to perform at Wrigley Field in September.

Ausserdem sollen Konzerte in St. Paul, MN – Xcel Energy Center (4. April 2012), in Newark, NJ – Prudential Center, in East Rutherford, NJ – IZOD Center sowie im „Madison Square Garden“, New York City, NY für Ende April / Anfang Mai 2012 geplant sein.

Details of the performance dates have yet to be released. However, sources close to the negotiations say Springsteen and the E Street Band have signed a concert deal to perform for the first time ever in Newark — with a date at the Prudential Center for some time in late April or early May. Bruce Springsteen’s new album ‚Wrecking Ball‘ has been set for March 6 release on Columbia Records. Marking his 17th studio album, ‚Wrecking Ball‘ features 11 new Springsteen recordings and was produced by Ron Aniello with Bruce Springsteen and executive producer Jon Landau. Bruce Springsteens siebzehntes Studioalbum umfasst 13 Songs, unter anderem auch „American Land“, ein Song, der während der „Seeger Session Tour“, der „Magic Tour“ und der „Working on a Dream Tour“ des öfteren Live gespielt wurde.

Im Juni 2012 steigt das grösste Rockkonzert auf diesem Planeten zum achten Mal in der portugiesischen Hauptstadt Lissabon. Zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt wurden folgende Bands bestätigt: Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Metallica, Sepultura, Tambours du Bronx, Mastodon, Evanescence, Linkin Park, Smashing Pumpkins, The Offspring, Limp Bizkit, Lenny Kravitz, Maroon 5, Ivete Sangalo, Expensive Soul und Xutos & Pontapés.
